Last year, when we were nominated as a finalist in the 2016 Australian Accounting Awards "Boutique Firm of the Year - <$10M” category – we stated that we very rarely blow our own horn. However, that's now likely out the window ...
Earlier this morning, Koustas & Co was shortlisted as a finalist not only in the “Boutique Firm of the Year - <$10M” category but also, in the "Business Advisory Firm of the Year" category. Rounding out the excitement, our Finance and Operations Manager - Laura Davidson - was named a finalist in the "Office Administrator of the Year category" at the 2017 Australian Accounting Awards, hosted by AccountantsDaily, Australia’s top publication for the accounting industry.
As a result of our category nominations, we're also automatically in the running for the Editor’s Choice Award and also, the coveted Accountants Daily Excellence Award.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Australian Accounting Awards, which covers 26 categories, recognises individual excellence in accounting, from the profession’s most senior ranks to its rising stars.
In announcing the shortlist of finalists, Terry Braithwaite, head of partnerships at Accountants Daily noted “We broadened the awards program this year to better recognise the breadth and depth of the talent in this industry. For those who have made it to the finalist stage, congratulations, you have secured your place amongst Australia’s leading accounting professionals".
Herc and Damien are again delighted by the nominations - especially in the Business Advisory Firm of the Year category - and believe that it further serves as recognition for the firm’s excellent contribution to the accounting and broader business community and reinforces the strength of the brand in connecting with its clients and referral partners.
So – please wish us luck for the 26th of May when the winners are announced in Sydney!!!
